'Origin' Jazz Fusion Band

Origin is a recently formed band who play original tracks in the jazz fusion genre. From the cacophony of sounds and walking bass of 'Strange Lands', through to the intimate, fluid piano lines of 'One Rainy Afternoon', and the relentless driving rhythms of 'Helterskelter', Origin offer a range of expression to the modern jazz audience. Paul Miché's improvisational and richly harmonic playing, along with John East's lyrical bass lines and Jordan Calvert's mix of sensitive but also driving rhythms provide a distinctive mix of sound and colour that is a tribute to many unique artists of previous decades whilst carrying a freshness for today.

Origin will be supported by Rich Atkinson & The New Billionaires. Rich Atkinson is a Narrative Americana Singer/Songwriter from the Southwest of England. Story songs with a Jazz influence and a lyrical twist are his speciality, in the style of artists such as Tom Waits, Randy Newman and acoustic Bruce Springsteen. Rich is joined by Richard Quintin on Tenor Sax, currently the only permanent member of the New Billionaires.
