Seven Ages of Man (or Woman)

The Bath Institute of Laughter is a new comedy project that seeks to develop writers and performers. Funded by Quartet Community Foundation and run with the support of Widcombe Social Club, this showcase event is the culmination of a two month programme of workshops. A team of writers has created topical or satirical monologues inspired by Shakespeare's famous Seven Ages of Man speech. Expect observational stand-up comedy, Pam Ayres-style poetry, comic songs or theatrical monologues performed at an informal scratch night. Led by Hilary Strong and Angela Vick, the team behind comedy troupe Women on the Make and regular performers with the Bath Comedy Festival. Bar and food on offer, plus live music.
