The artistic ecology and particularly the funding landscape has changed. This year, Bath Fringe didn\u2019t get\u00a0 grants for which we previously had a pretty good success record. That money usually pays for our free outdoor arts events, <strong>Bedlam Fair.<\/strong> As it&#8217;s jubilee weekend and we&#8217;re told there&#8217;s lots else on, perhaps you won&#8217;t even miss us &#8211; and we promise we&#8217;ll be pulling out all the stops to make sure it happens next year.<\/p>\n<p>There are a handful of outdoor events we know about happening on that same weekend supported by other funding and not part of our programming:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Calf2Cow<\/strong><\/em> are a young post-Bath-Spa outdoor theatre company based in the city. They will be showing their hour-long outdoor theatre piece <em>\u2018The Wave\u2019<\/em> (suitable for all ages) as part of Bath Spa Uni&#8217;s SPARKFEST on <strong>Stall Street on Sunday June 5th at 2pm<\/strong>. More details <a href=\"https:\/\/www.calf2cow.co.uk\/the-wave-bath-sparkfest\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>In association with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bathartsworkshop.org\/\">Bath Arts Workshop<\/a> book &amp; FAB, there may be an incursion of a classic Arts Workshop on Sunday 5th in the city centre. Be prepared!<\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Bath&amp;NES Outdoor Events for the Bank Holiday Weekend<br \/>\n&#8211; Saturday 4th June<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Music in Parade Gardens \u2013 11am-5pm<\/strong><br \/>\nB&amp;NES Council present a programme of local bands and musicians on the bandstand in the glorious Parade Gardens to celebrate the Queen\u2019s Platinum Jubilee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pop-up Performances \u2013 1pm-4.30pm \u2013 Bath City Centre<\/strong><br \/>\nBristol-based 6-piece Jazz band plus swing dance duo.<br \/>\nNew Bond Street, 1pm-2.30pm; Kingsmead Square 3pm-4.30pm<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BUT our friends the <strong>Natural Theatre Co.<\/strong> are doing this in Radstock on the Saturday:<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Radstock Jubilee Festival<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>St Nicholas Church Field, Radstock. 11am-5pm<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Free outdoor arts event with a family friendly atmosphere. Finest theatrical acts, silly spectacle, quirky comedy and Bath&#8217;s very own Natural Theatre. Community stage showcasing the very best of our local talent; local stalls, food and have-a-go creative workshops during the day.<\/p>\n<p>Why not cycle from Bath to Radstock for the day through the Two Tunnels Path?
